San Ignacio de Loyola

The Firms patron San Ignacio de Loyola, founder of the Society of Jesus, whose celebration takes place on 31st of July of each year and which the office joins and celebrates. The Jesuits were the main agents in the expansion of Catholicism throughout the world in the 16th and 17th centuries, largely thanks to the protection granted by the Portuguese and Spanish crowns. Missions were set up in Africa, Asia and America, which quickly expanded.

This success was also due to the work of the Jesuits in education, through new methods of evangelization, adaptation to the cultural habits of each region and kingdom and solid, competent work. Today, the Jesuits have regained much of their prestige in the field of education and culture, reinforced in 2013 by the election of Pope Francis, the first Jesuit pope in history.

The firm endeavours to perpetuate the values and concerns of this Group, with various initiatives and associations in Portugal and Spain.

Among the various associations and causes we support; we would like to highlight the nonprofit organization Amsudan. This is a non-governmental organization that supports and carries out projects in the Republic of Sudan. Among the various projects carried out are schools and training centres, built locally with the help of various private entities and organizations that support this cause and this people.
